No problem for our Grade 12 students. Voluntary group study sessions during Easter break — independence at its best.
When we say IB students are independent learners, we mean it. During the entire Easter break, our Grade 12 students organized voluntary group study sessions in our learning commons.
Three teachers — Ms. Hartmann (Mathematics), Mr. Okafor (Physics), and Ms. Yamamoto (Theory of Knowledge) — generously gave up parts of their holiday to support the students who showed up.
What stood out: the students set their own schedule, formed their own groups, and even prepared revision materials for each other. This is exactly the kind of self-directed learning the IB philosophy is built on.
If you want to see a school where students choose to study during their holidays — that's ISM.
